Energy Travels as Waves








Energy travels in different types of waves (sound and light). Here the students are constructing such waves in a practical manner to demonstrate their understanding of them.

Stored energy can come in different forms (e.g. food, batteries, air). Energy is used to do some kind of work. Here the students are using the air (stored energy) inside a balloon to push the balloon across open space.

Science3A

Course description:

Students will be learning about a number topics involved in the Physical and Earth Sciences. Topics include: energy, heat, forces/motion, water cycle, weather, earth, solar system, minerals, rocks, fossils, landforms, and earth’s resources. Through the use of project work, class observations, experiments, investigations and research students will gain a better understanding of their world, its impact on them and how their actions impact on it. The course is structured so that other subject areas are integrated into the science subject and visa versa.
